1999 Quinta de la Rosa LBV (37,5 cl)

Post by Rune EG »

Dark red colour with a light rim. Some sediments which were decanted before drinking. Light bodied, insufficient fruit, showed a lot of alcohol on the nose and taste. Short finish. I hope my second bottle is better, as this LBV is far, far down the list! 81 pts. After having written this tasting note, I checked my tasting note from the FTLOP Harvest Tour Oct-10 visit to the quinta, and at that time I gave exactly the same score 81 pts.

Yikes! I'll have to check my notes when I get home, but I don't recall being all that impressed with this one either.
