1992 Quinta do Vesuvio Colheita Port
Bottled 2 days prior (22 Sept 2010). I had this many times during my stay in the Douro and it was one heck of a treat. Unlike a previous vintage this one showed no Douro bake, just sweet acidity, carmel, toffee, a little tannins still, and a nice long finish. This is a private family reserve and can only be consumed at the Quinta, where it spends its entire life in a non-temperature controlled area of the winery. I wish I could have taken a case of this home. 93 points
