1987 Graham Quinta dos Malvedos Vintage Port

Post by Monique Heinemans. »

Drank this over the past few days.
A medium to fullbodied rather sweet VP with lots of dark jammy fruit (raisins come to mind), some (bitter) chocolate and caramel. Also some minty freshness, which I really like in a VP. It had a very long aftertaste with again lovely caramel tones. This was a pleasure to drink!
I had the Malvedos 1986 some weeks ago and think that I prefer it over the 1987 because it was slighly more integrated. But both very recommendable.

Monique,

This is a wonderful bottle that flies under the radar, well except for us here at :ftlop: . I like the 1987 a little more than the 1986, but that's splitting a very fine hair as they are both very good. Thanks for the note
