TN: 2007 Niepoort Redoma Douro red

Decanted 1.5 hrs. Medium to dark red with a clear touch of purple. Lovely subdued aroma in a very well balanced combination of dark berries and oak. Full body. Taste is also well balanced, with fruit and oak in a pleasant way, and also a bit fresh (young?) in the style. Nice tannins. I am sure it will also develop to be elegant. Finish was not more than medium length. Would really like to taste this in a few years, as I think it may increase a few points. 93 pts.
