Re: What Port(s) have you purchased this week?
Having just explained in this thread that I am not buying anything other than port from '83, '80 and '63 I now have to confess that I can't resist a bargain. My local Tesco supermarket are running a special offer - buy 6 bottles and get 25% off. This makes Vargellas '98 £15.75 ($25) a bottle, Quarles Harris '94 £16.50 ($27) and Croft '04 LBV £3 ($5) a half.
So I gave in and cleared the shelf of Vargellas...

Thought I'd try a Niepoort Tawny--only $14 so worth the flyer. Hope to try over the weekend--having a pool and a very warm weekend forecast, I'm sure I'll have no shortage of friends to share it with. I did throw it in the fridge--thinking it would be a bit better chilled.

Stopped in Bev Mo early today and saw they had both a Noval 10 year and 20 year Tawny. 33% off for both so I picked up both.
Had the 40 year Noval last week, VERY nice and looking forward to comparing these other 2.

I went back and they had more in stock. I picked up 5, so now I have an even six pack in OWC and an extra bottle to open earlier for assessment.Eric Menchen wrote:2 x 2003 Cockburns at a local b&m for $30 each; that's all they had left
