1966 Graham Vintage Port

Post by Tom D. »

Moderately youthful caramel-garnet color. Simple and light, nutty, cinnamon nose. Also quite light on the palate, showing root beer, red fruits, and a faint gym sock note as final confirmation this was not the best example of this wine. Spirit was quite warming but not excessive, minimal structure. Overall still very pleasant for sipping, but not memorable. Berry Brothers & Rudd bottling, base neck, very slight seepage, decanted 6 hours. Tasted 12/10/2011 (91 pts.)

I suspect the seepage issue caused an issue, as this is normally an amazing Port. I had it four (4) times within a couple weeks this past October...not a bad thing mind you :yumyum:
