- 1991 Croft Porto Vintage - Portugal, Douro, Porto (9/18/2010)
A spectacular bottle. Dark color. A really inviting nose of black fruit. Black and sour cherry palate with a dose of chocolate. Really suave. The palate is round and the structure has backed off enough that you can really drink this. Absolutely no heat at all. This is in a very good spot if you like your port young and fruity. It's not yet showing any secondary development. Just delicious and a real sleeper. This can still be picked up for a reasonable price. This must be the greatest Croft between 1945 and 2003. (93 pts.)

Re: 1991 Croft Vintage Port
Yep, that it is. 1991 Croft rocks. The only thing missing is an additional two decades of bottle age ... or three.
Ambition driven by passion, rather than money, is as strong an elixir as is Port. http://www.fortheloveofport.com
