1983 Graham Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 27 hours - A bottle bought at Makro 3 years ago. Deep red in colour with a slight hint of browning; 99% opaque. Gloriuos nose, dark berries and lifted blueberries. Medium bodied impact, medium weight but full of big flavours. Masses of cherry fruit and firm tannins that are keen to make themselves known - slight hint of pears on the palate, but not enough to be offputting. Big aftertaste, with lots of heat at the start of the finish, but this fades to leave a sticky flavour of dark chocolate and black cherries. Delicious port that deserves to be taken seriously. 89 points
