1967 Taylor LBV Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 2 hours - Filtered, bottled in 1973. Clear; barley sugar colour. Swirling releases a little floral scent and some lemon-fruit. Sweeter in the mouth than the '65 shown alongside, but followed by a wave of harsh acidity. Unbalanced and overly aggressive. The aftertaste takes time to settle down, but allows a dark chocolate finish of great length. If only the nose and palate were as good as the finish. 77 points
