10 Year Old Tawny Port by Quarles Harris

Post by Andy Velebil »

Bottled in 2011. I've not had this in many years and since it was staring me in the face at my local Trader Joe's market for the ridiculously low price of $15 I had to grab one and check it out again. Soft and smooth initially quickly gives way to a nice dose of acidity. I really enjoy the caramel, maple bar, cloves, and some spices lingering under the surface. It seamlessly transitions from the palate to the finish, full of the same qualities I enjoyed on the palate. I gotta admit this has come a long way since the last bottle I had of this almost 6 years ago. A great QPR buy!

I've had this wine quite a few times over the last few years and I agree that this is a great sub $15.00 buy!
