1994 Warre's LBV Port

Post by Rune EG »

1st day (half of the bottle): 5 hrs decanting (put it back into the bottle at the end)
2nd day (the other half): 4 hrs decanting
At the opening it was medium to light red, but changed quickly to dark red in the decanter.
Powerful and very nice aroma of ripe fruit. Also in the aroma the sweetish style with strawberry flavour that can be found in several vintage ports from early 80s.
Full body. The taste is also powerful, little alcohol, a bit of caramel, but actually less fruit than noticed in the aroma. Aftertaste medium length. A pleasant LBV which has the style as a vintage port that is ten years older. 88 pts.
