Decanted late at night for drinking the next day, at about +20 hours. More approachable than the last time I had this. Still young and tannic with lots of fruit. There is also a fair amount of menthol. Esteva? Some grape, strawberry, and cherry too. 90 points.
I know a lot of people will score this higher. Of the four of us tasting this in a Taylor vertical along with with 1970 and 2007, this was the favorite of one person. For me the 90 points reflects my impression at the moment, not future potential. I had this in 2009 it it was way too young for me, and not even enjoyable. This time I quite enjoyed it, but it is still on the young side and not all that it can be. I suspect I'll score it higher in the future, but I don't plan to open another bottle for several years, 3-5 years if just to taste on its own, possibly sooner if I host a 1994 horizontal.
