2009 Pintas vintage port

Post by Rune EG »

Decanted 9 hrs. Dark red colour with light rim. Complex, wide aroma of dark berries, also some herbs. Taste is full of dark berries, smooth, elegant, powerful, good tannins. A bit dry towards the end. Medium length aftertaste. After 6 hrs decanting time I gave it 87 pts, but then after 3 hrs more this vintage port opened up and became a very nice product. 94 pts.

I wish I could more easily find their stuff near me. It's been good to see their steady improvement over the years and I look forward to enjoying their stuff well into the future. A house to seek out for sure.
