2007 Quinta do Crasto Vintage Port

Post by John M. »

I actually tasted this twice out of two bottles in the past week. First was a pop and pour at friends party--2nd was Christmas Eve & Day (8 hour and 32 hours decant time). Both bottles were the pretty much the same so I will report as one TN. Dense and viscous purple--it just looks lush and you know its going to be a fruit bomb right away--even the rim is darker than usual. Smells of currants, slight floral, and blackberries. Taste is pretty gorgeous and sexy, lush and fresh. Same flavors as the nose-hint of white pepper and leather, too. Juicy finish--not too acidic or tannic--moderate length and clips off. I thought it showed best during the pop and pour and earlier decant time. I only paid $25 US for this!!
