1963 Constantino Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 23 hours double decanted - Modest red colour, appearing to be in mid- late-maturity, deep coloured centre; 60% opaque. Subdued nose, with some attractive redcurrants and and chestnut puree. Slightly nuetral entry, that suddenly explodes into a palate-full of flavour. Lots of fruit, still early in its maturity, with a big presence and fantastic balance. Some heat shows briefly on the aftertaste, then there is a big, sweet strawberry finish. This is really lovely port in perfect balance. 93 points
