1966 Croft Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 10 hours - Deep red, very dark colour. 40% opaque. Muted nose, some heat and lovely fruit - very attractive, very perfumed. Sweet and velvety texture on the palate, with intense fruit and multiple layers; perfect acidity. The aftertaste explodes with flavour, before a long cranberry finish. An intense wine with a huge volume of flavour but a relatively short finish - very good. With time in the glass, the nose became more caramelised. 94 points
