Decant: 19 hours - Nick Delaforce's last vintage as winemaker. Opaque, deep red. Bottle stink on the nose is unattractive. Fierce acidity and tannin on the palate precedes brooding, concentrated fruit that becomes quite impressive. Sharp acid kick on the aftertaste, then a dry and enjoyable finish. This will be a very impressive port, but marked down slightly because of the bottle stink on the nose. 88 points
