1977 Morgan Vintage Port

Decant: 4½ hours - Slightly cloudy; 85% opaque. Burnt marzipan on the nose. Hollow entry with some baked fruit but an off-putting bitterness in the mid-palate. Lots of patience eventually allows some fruit to show through but this is a little dried out on the end-palate. My guess is that this is a slightly spoiled bottle. 84 points
