1977 Niepoort Vintage Port

Decant: 3 hours - The last of the vintages vinified and blended by Taylor for an on behalf of Niepoort. Generous red colour, pale rim. Some heat on the nose, but with gentle fruit under the heat. Sweet and thick on the palate, concentrated flavours and chalky tannins, Nice, mouthfilling and quite big. Hot aftertaste, then a tannin based dryness and a medium length finish of mature, spiced fruit. Very good port. 92 points
