Decant: Pop 'n' pour - Deep red, slight hint more scarlet on the rim than the Vesuvio. Fresh blackcurrant on the nose, well pronounced, sage and rose petals. Soft and smooth texture; full and rich fruit dominates the palate. Tannins are very gentle with most of the structure coming from the ripe acidic core. A touch of heat on the aftertaste from the acidity precedes a big, bramble and blackberry finish of great length, that eventually dries to a cocoa finish. 89 points
