How was this? It's not a Port we see here in the States and I've only had limit experience with some of their Ports when I've been in Portugal.

Their 30 Year Old Tawny is, as far as I now, new in the market. It is very good, I will give it another try tomorrow and give some more details. I´m tired right now, came back from the Fair ProWein in Düsseldorf.

I opened the other half of a bottle of Passadouro 1992 yesterday. I decanted the original bottle a few months ago and filled up a demi with half it's contents. I still remember I was quite disappointed with the bottle at first, but did not do any decant due to time constraints back them. The wine was very closed, with light unpleasant chemical notes in the nose.

However, the second half was a lot better - actually really good! I did give it a few hours in the decanter this time, and it might also have had some accelerated development in the half bottle over the past few months. The (formerly used) cork in that bottle was completely soaked, so I guess it let in more oxygen than the original bottle would have let in.

So.. Passadouro 1992: no formal tasting note (yet), but based on this experience I should still give it some time in the bottle. I do have some left which is currently spending the night in the fridge, preparing to be drunk tomorrow evening, so a tasting note might be forthcoming.
