Tasted blind in a lineup of 1983 Vintage Ports.
Red brown, a little more on the red side, and a thinner than some others this was tasted with. Sweet fruit and bark aroma, with light floral notes and burnt caramel. In the mouth there was alcohol warmth first, followed by a mix of stewed fruit. Later there were flavors of toffee and apricot. Nice, but the warmth was distracting. 90 points.
