1983 Confraria do Vinho do Porto Vintage Port

Tasted blind in a lineup of 1983 Vintage Ports.

Red-orange color with some haze. Some fruit aroma, but vegetable too, with low level must and eucalyptus. Medium body, warm in the mouth and finish. Slight caramel flavor. With time the aroma and flavor both improved, giving a hint of developed tawny character in a most pleasant way. I revised my score up from 90 to 91 points.
