That's an odd older vintage of their basic Douro wine to find still for sale. Curious as to how it is?

It will be a first for me. For $16 seemed worth a shot.

Got them all on www.linwoodwineco.com - think they have the best deals on a many wines. Ie, the 20yr Ferreira was $50 and the 2007 fonseca $19 after tax.

7 x Quinta do Crasto LBVs at $12.00/Bottle -- No year stated, but at that price for a Crasto LBV does it matter?--and I took all they had. [dance2.gif]
1 x 2004 Quinta do Noval LBV for $17.99

....turns out they're all 2006

There were 2 prices listed, $25 and $35.

Should I buy them out at this price? I might open it tonight to figure it out?

$25 is a great price for any 20 year tawny. Even $35 is still a good price

Actually, I purchased it in the UK. I have been buying all of my 2011 VP futures in the UK. I'll be lucky if I have it in my hands in February!

How do you get them "imported" into the US? Big hassle?

Assume in volume should be cheaper by bypassing the importer, transport costs have to be born regardless.

Legally, you need someone with an import license. Adventures in Wine is one company that provides importation services.

4 x 2007 Taylor Fladgate LBV @ $11.70 each. The grocery store near my wife's office was closing out all of their Port, and these were the only bottles left that were actually at a good price. (A very good price at that.)

Dear grocery store wine manager - $65 for Dow's 20-yr old Tawny Port is not a closeout price. Nor is $68 for a 500 ml Royal Oporto 20-yr old Tawny Port.

Given how outrageous all of the other prices were, I suspect that these Taylors were mislabeled. At least I solved their problem for them - they have none left now.
