1988 Graham Malvedos Vintage Port

Post by Jim R. »

Decanted six hours: red with orange-amber cast; open sweet mulberry and plum nose; mellow integrated cherry, plum, mulberry, mocha flavors; acidity well integrated with tannins, seems best now and for 10 to 15 years of plateau. Medium bodied but lighter than the majors. 92 pt. Excellent. 750 ml.

That's the most positive review of a birth year port for me that I've seen. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for some. Thanks for the note.

And I will have to find some mulberry to taste since I can only guess what it is like.
