Very pale and clear in the glass. Fascinating nose of green melon, mineral, and caramel. Touch of oak on the palate, with more melon and mineral, and a buttery caramel malo note, still showing decent acidity. I am completely charmed by this obscure blend of grape varieties, and the malo treatment it's been given. Excellent wine, unique, almost like a buttery California chardonnay made from fascinatingly different grapes. Sadly, virtually impossible to find in this country. (93 pts.)

This was a beautiful wine and needs so much more time for the oak to integrate and for it to show at its best. By the end of this decade it should start to drink well. I would not open any more of these at least for another five+ years.
