The following 10 year tawnies: Croft, Ferreira, Kopke, Q do Portal, Ramos Pinto Q da Ervamoira, Sandeman & Smith Woodhouse....Planning a 10 Year Tawny Tasting (have a few others already)

and a 1995 Grahams Malvedos

<<EDIT>> And while not a recent purchase my Souza Ports from the FTLOP Buying Op arrived today. 18 very dirty & dusty bottles that once past the grime look perfect. Love the painted on lettering. Has anyone tasted theirs yet??
Any Port in a storm!

At a retailer?
Yes, on State Street. Bottles were in pretty good shape and the price was OK.

Federal? They have a lot of stuff downstairs, although it's not the easiest to walk around,

Picked up a half bottle each of 2007 Taylor and Fonseca. The Taylor was killed off last night. The Fonseca soon to follow.

Also got a 2008 Niepoort LBV as I can't remember having that before so wanted to try it.

1963 Fonseca - purchased and consumed last night for Phyllis' birthday at Ella in Sacramento. This was our first 1963 - lovely, I must say.

2011 Taylor in 3L ... I was going to let it pass by and earlier this afternoon though to myself, "what the heck, do something nice for your daughter today." It was their last bottle in this size, so I was happy the timing worked out.

I know she will enjoy this someday! [bye2.gif]

39. I will make it into these. [beg.gif] And I have an 8 and 5 year old year old who will enjoy whatever is left over I guess. I think this gets me up to around 225 bottles of Port or so, would have to do the math...I figure I have at least two or three more vintages to participate in I hope!

For interest, I saw some in store here in Calgary today. 2011 Taylor for $136. Glad I am not going to be up here too much longer as I did not pay anything near that!

DO you think I need to get more Roy? :winepour:

Eric, all on-line, various spots. More TCWC, JJ Buckley had a few of these items, wine.com had the GST (little scared of that one, reviews look sketchy for the site but what the heck).
not in Denver enough to shop much currently...and judging by your posts not much has been out anywhere.

I forgot I also have some I ordered from Garagiste, Taylor and Fonseca three of each, and a magnum of Calem I totally forgot about until I got a packing slip notice this morning. Gets me to just over 60 for 2011.

I eventually need to get more 94's and 2000's I think to equalize out a few to drink now, feeling a bit top heavy.

Russ,

At your age, I'd likely grab another 5-6 of the Dow's from 2011 and then from there look to back fill with older vintages. You are definitely not too old for the 2011's. They can be enjoyed early and in fact, you should pick one or two that you found reasonably priced and check them out, so 25 years hence, you can say, "I tasted thsee shortly after they were born and the difference from then to now is ... " which is always great to helping one understand the evolutionary curve of Vintage Ports. At least from my perspective, I like to understand as many different stages/bottles of the same Port as possible to see how they morph with age, KNOWING what their character was like as an infant.

Like Russ I have bought a little more than 50 bottles of the 2011s, all ordered online. I expect I will be able to enjoy them all. At 45 years of age, I will probably start to taper down my purchases of future vintage releases, but I couldn't be shy with the 2011s given all the positive reviews.
