2011 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: Not Known - Dark in colour, just transparent on the rim. Alcohol showing on the nose (the room was warm), slightly sharper than the G11 shown alongside. Restrained entry, very dark fruit with very grippy tannins dominating the palate. Fruit arrives late and is very sweet and ripe ... and eventually dominates the tannins. There is a hollow touch on the aftertaste before a huge, tingling finish explodes. 93-95. 93 points
