Decant: 5 hours - Russet-orange colour; 25% opaque. A touch of menthol on the nose, otherwise showing little. Delicious texture, lovely and flavoursome palate presence. A wonderful mid-palate which is complex and delicious, if a little burly. Some heat on the aftertaste before a rich and enjoyable finish where the tannins just manage to show through the sweet and concentrated flavours. 87 points
