It was the first VP they released after they acquired the Quinta. Kinda hard to come by these days.David Spriggs wrote:Wow. That's old for Tedo.Andy Velebil wrote:At a friends right now and we just decanted a 1995 Quinta do Tedo VP for tonight. :)

2004 Quinta do Crasto LBV, taken into the Comanche Peak Wilderness in a PlatyPreserve. Very tasty stuff after a lot of hiking.

Have a Nice weekend.....sitting with my Girl and an old Real Comp. Velha 1938 vintage (I would say it is a Colheita) the taste and color, and the lacking of sediments in the bottle tells me so.
But Nice, not extravagant, sweet and very Dark Brown.

1960 Fonseca VP. It was a leaker, but did not disappoint. I didn't take notes, but will try to gather enough memories to post a TN.

1970 Dow over the weekend. Bottle went down mighty quick. Lot of respect for this vintage.

I opened a bottle of Calem 1977 at the weekend. Sadly it was spoiled by a bit of VA.

1964 Noval Colheita, bottled 2006. Showed spectacularly well. I saved a glass to be able to write a TN later this weekend.

A Nice Warre & Co 300 year birthday port from 1970.
Very spicy, long aftertaste. And a bargain of 8 euro, direct import from Portugal.

Re: What have you opened this week?
Saturday. Daugther in the house, and another old Tawny hits the table:
Sucessora de Dona Antónia Ferreira - Duque de Brangança.
The label was very old and torn, and no selo!
My guess is a port from around 1950-60.
Very good endeed. Long long aftertaste, burned caramell, and fresh like a spring morning.
salute from MacAllan
