This has been an awful weekend. I had both the Phillies and Yanks to go to the serries and win those GCs--not sure if they both had to go to win, but if not by any tie-breaker I was set to win. Like my honey the Cubs fan always says...Wait til Next Year!

Don't feel too bad, as you know I was rooting for the identical combo to repeat. It is good for baseball to have some fresh faces in the World Series. Not sure that the geniuses behind the networks following ratings/market share are going to be too excited about a WS w/ Rangers vs. Giants, but I don't really care about them (the network guys).

As to the WS? I am going to root for Texas. [dash1.gif]

Clearly nobody saw either of these two teams going this far! [shrug.gif]

Hey I was an Expos fan , what do I know [shrug.gif]
At least I got to see hall of famer Andre Dawson .
Now there was a five tool guy .
If It wasn't for the fact that he played on terrible turf , he would have at least 500 round trippers .

I agree its good for baseball for fresh faces---but NOT when I'm lined up to win some nice bottles of VP......the WS ratings will assuredly be down, but I just read where the ALCS & NLCS had much higher ratings than last year, so they'll still make lots o' $$$$. Rooting for no one other than a good, well-played series.
