Quinta da Taboadella Villae white and alfrocheira reserva (single variety wine)

this Dao quinta is owned by the same family that has Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo in the Douro. the winery is brand new and has a very interesting architecture.

Quinta Mendes Pereira Dao red, white, red reserva, encruzado and rose. All are outstanding wines. I especially mention the rose as it is only touriga nacional and is a serious wine unlike many fruity light only-in-summer rose wines.

for me both Sobral and Mendes Pereira were much more interesting.

A Portuguese neighborhood liquor store had a blow out sale on Qunita da Bacalhoa Cab.

This is a long time favorite of mine, but not much talk at all on this brand here. Maybe it's not well known outside of MA??
