DR 20 Year Old
Enologo 10 Year White

Both are quite solid. The Enologo is perfect after a meal--light and crisp, most fruit forward than nutty

Enologo 10 Year Old White Port
- 92 points. An excellent value-for-money white Port.

Enologo 20 Year Old White Port
-93 points. Noticeably darker and richer than the 10 Year Old, but still fruity with some caramel just starting to develop.

DR 40 Year Old Tawny Port
- 91 points. Not sure what was wrong, but it was clearly an off bottle. This should normally get 94-96 points from me.

1994 Vesuvio VP
- 95 points. Outstanding as always.

1994 Graham VP
- 95 points. Another superb showing. These are in a great spot right now, but have a long life ahead.

1994 Dow VP
- 93+ points. Objectively a better Port than the Graham, but I like the Graham's style better. This one is going to improve with time, thus the '+'.

As you can imagine, it was a pretty great weekend! Amazingly, none of the above were the Port of the weekend. That honor belongs to a 1994 Taylor at 98 points, followed by a 1994 Fonseca at 96 points. Thanks to Eric for bringing them!

That's a fantastic line up, Glenn and I agree, the QPR on that Enologo 10 year old white is really good. I actually like it better than their 20 year old white.

All of the other ones of course are fantastic Ports.

I found it shut down a little 5-10 years ago, but my recent experience has been back in the outstanding realm.

1985 Kopke Colheita, bottled 2020. Excellent, as always ;-)

The Dow's of course is excellent, but I'm a big fan of the 1995 Dalva Colheita. Anything bottled from 2020 on is really very good. The acidity will cut your tongue in two, but it works really well with this Colheita.

Last night opened '83 Ramos Pinto VP. Initial pop and pour glass didn't pack as much punch as expected with Ramos Pinto. Nice fruit balance.

Expect to drink more over the weekend.

Enologo 10 Yr. Old White. It was great! Even the Mrs. liked it and she's not a big Port fan.

1991 Delaforce Quinta d. Corte. Recently acquired, this was a leaker. Very top shoulder. Cork was basically mush. The wine was 90% clear with a mahogany red color. A bit of heat on the front end and a nice flavor, but the finish was not there---just nothing. Is it the bottle or the wine in general - guess I'll have a better idea when I try another (got several).

We still enjoyed this after a nice meal--87 Points.

1985 Ramos Pinto VP. Two RP vintages in one week! I thought the '85 was a leaker, but I think the bottle above it was leaking as when I removed the tissue paper, I could not find a leak. Not as pure and elegant as the '83.

1985 Graham VP

One of those bottles that just sings. This was for a party and people did very much enjoy it, but part of me wishes that I'd opened this bottle for Port Club or someplace that there were more true Port geeks to appreciate it. It was glorious!

1970 Grahams VP, bottled by Wine Society. Was one of the best bottles of this I’ve had. Just spectacular.
