TN: 2004 Quinta do Crasto Old Vine Reserva Douro

Post by Andy Velebil »

I only had a 375ml bottle of this at home so after a couple of glasses of the wonderful 2007 version, I opened the 2004 to compare them side by side. Something was off when I first opened it and after a short time it became very apparent this was corked. My first bottle of Reserva that was corked, and at the worst possible time. Oh well, it happens, at least I have more 2007 in the bottle :yumyum:

Why the "worst possible time" ... is ANY time, a good time?

 good point. But it was made worse by the fact I had an opened 2007 Reserva next to it so I could compare them side by side. I'm just glad it was only a 1/2 bottle and not a 750 that was corked...gotta look at the bright side :scholar:
