For The Love Of Port

Decant: Not Known - South Africa. Served by the glass from the bar at Bakubung, from a bottle 3/4 empty and probably open for some time. Black in colour, deep and attractive, Nose of stewed blackberries (probably open a while), lots of fruit but perhaps a little tired. Restrained fruit juice in the mouth, a little simple and with surprisingly few tannins showing, although this could be because of the amount of time that the bottle had been opened. Very pleasant, very straightforward but not a bottle to keep and cellar for the long term. 85 points
