Decant: 2 hours - Bottled and labelled as "Adams 1963 Vintage Port". Decanted off some well settled sediment from a bottle with high fill, sound cork and in apparently perfect condition . Very pale brown on decanting - the colour of barley sugars. Light flavours on the news, dusty vanilla and clover honey. Sweet and flowery flavours in the mouth, some lovely lemon zest and quince flavours; huge burst of oranges on swallowing, then a burst of heat and then a surprisingly long length of chocolate and vanilla. A wine that is below average, but is very smooth and pleasant, all the same. Likely to last a few years yet before it declines. 1/1. 85 points
