TN: 1927 Cockburn Vintage Port

Deep red in colour, slightly harsh smelling but in a fruity way - think of sour cherries. Very neutral entry, but with lots of red licorice and Bassets All Sorts. Lots of aeration in the mouth releases heat and a spicy white pepper. With continued work, this port opens up and becomes more fruity. Fairly short length. Disappointing for the vintage's reputation. 88 points
