Decant: 6 hours - Deep red centre, strongly coloured rim. Lovely nose of mature but vibrant fruit, dominated by loganberries but there may be a very slight hint of TCA. The TCA is clear in the mouth on the initial impact, bringing some mustiness to the very powerful fruit. Deep and tannic texture just fills the mouth with its flavours but that mustiness is always hovering on the edge of the tongue. The aftertaste is huge, initially perfumed but with a real chilli bite mixed in with a lot of chocolate and concentrated loganberry fruit and is extraordinarily long. Despite the TCA taint, this is extremely big and powerful - and delicious. 94 points
