Touriga Franca barrel sample. Deep purple colour, opaque edge. Vivid nose with masses of cranberry and blueberries coming through very strongly, with an interesting added attraction of cruched gorse. Fruit impact in the mouth, slight tinge of bitterness but the fruit dominates absolutely. Tannins are well hidden by the fruit. A very lovely structure leading into a huge aftertaste of sweet fruit. Absolutely delicious. 87 points
