Decant: 6 hours double decanted - Deepest in colour of the '70 wines on show. Very hot on the nose, slightly cloying in its sweetness with some hot toffee and candy. Very big bodied and with a thick texture. Terrific volume of flavours and a complexity that is really impressive. Still some soft tannins giving a really enjoyable structure. The aftertaste us a little hollow initially, but grows quickly to become big and mouthfilling. Will still improve with more time in the cellar. Currently this is a good wine which will become an even better wine and perhaps deserve a score of 94-95 when it peaks. 93 points
