Decant: 5 hours double decanted - Deep in colour, almost opaque and holding into the rim. Sharp on the nose, with a sour bramble and redcurrant apparent. Medium- to full-bodied; sweet and full of cherry fruit. The tannins are soft, but lurk behind the fruit and plentiful structural acidity. The aftertaste is terrific, with a long and lingering finish, dominated by bitter nutskins and dark chocolate. A stunning wine, which will improve with more time. 94 points
