Decant: 18 hours - From a half bottle. Deep and youthful red, but with no hint of purple. A young nose, a little closed but with plenty of acidic blackcurrants. Slightly harsh on entry, dominated by the acidity. The tannins are soft, but the fruit is also restrained. The immediate aftertaste is good and fruity and leads to a finish dominated by the chocolate tannins and sour cherries. A mid-level port that sits well in the quality pack but not above it. 85 points
