Decant: 2½ hours - Decanted out of a pale glass bottle, very cleanly with a heavy sediment remaining in the bottle. A lovely, glowing red colour with a clear centre. Very little nose, probably in need of more time in the decanter, but there is plenty of sweet red licorice and a nice spicy curry. The spiciness comes through in the mouth, there is plenty of fruit, but this is mixed in with lots of curry and herbs. Perhaps a little simple in the mouth, but enjoyable enough. The aftertaste is surprisingly strong, with the sweet licorice showing plenty of development. Drinking nicely now, and will probably hold well for another 10 years. 88 points
