Decant: 12 hours - Lovely deep red, clear centre. The nose has opened a little after 12 hours in the decanter, but still not overwhelming. Raspberry cordial with red licorice and fresh coriander. Quite dry in the mouth, but with nice balance. Lots of coriander and curry spices mixed in with plenty of fruit of a secondary character - licorice and raspberries. Much more complexity in the mid-palate than when decanted for just two hours. The tannins are so well integrated as to be near perfect. The aftertaste is beautiful; elegant but not overwhelming, warming but without a burn. The cheeks tingle pleasantly while the aniseed gobstoppers slowly - very slowly - fade away. 93 points
