Decant: None - Cask sample. Warm blackcurrants on the nose, full of fruit and promise. Sweet fruit initially, but a huge tannic wave washes over the fruit and dries out the cheeks and requires persistent work to soften the wine again. Good acidity comes through, but the fruit dominates through the entire mouthfeel. Excellent complexity in the middle. The aftertaste is quiet, pleasant enough, enjoyable with good movements in the flavour profiles and lasts a long time at a quiet level. 88 points
