Decant: 6 hours - Deep red colour, lighter than the Gould Campbell in the same flight, and with a pale pink rim. An inviting nose of attractive sweet redcurrants. Initially in the mouth this is promising, but then delivers a big dose of sharp acidity and doesn't really come back into balance even after a lot of work. The aftertaste is big and fills the mouth quite beautifully but dries out the cheeks with some slightly bitter green tannins. 87 points
