Decant: Just Opened - Crusted, from the single vintage of 1962 and bottled in 1965 - effectively the equivalent of a traditional LBV but with less time in the barrel. One of the last two bottles in the Noval cellars and opened for us!

Tawny in colour, orange centre, pale edge. Burnt sugar nose. Neutral into the mouth, then sweet, bitter acidity and more burnt sugar. Fruit surge on the aftertaste, which lasts for a long time. A wonderful wine, but one which is showing its age. 92 points
