Decant: 3 hours - Mid-red colour, ruby rim and a centre that is almost opaque. Restrained nose, some herbaceousness over a very noticeable blueberry. Very dry and acidic in the mouth, with the acidity being quite hard and jarring. Fruit is withdrawn and backward. The aftertaste is a little rough, but the length is good and very dominated by blackcurrant skins and dark chocolate; fades quite quickly. Not as pleasant as the older wines; clearly closed. 87 points
