Decant: 3 hours - Mid-red in colour, light in the centre. Strawberries on the nose, but heat coming through (but the room was quite warm). Soft in the mouth, but with little fruit and with a rubbery or waxy harshness - almost a quinine bark harshness. Patience is rewarded with a bit of development coming through in the flavours. Very hot and harsh on swallowing, which slowly fades to leave a sweet and sugary fruit salad flavour that lasts a long time. 83 points
