Decant: 104 hours - Noticeably darker and more red than the older vintages tasted alongside. Fruity nose, showing plenty of mulberry. Lovely texture, with immediate fruit that hits the tongue and covers the palate. Sweetness is offset by a good dose of acidity but also brings a huge burst of heat on swallowing. There are still significant tannins showing on the palate amidst the fruit and flavours. There is a bit of an acidic bite on swallowing this wine, but then a dry aftertaste and long raisin finish linger on. 91 points
